Television is preparing to create omniscreen experiences

The media industry is preparing to face a major change regarding the capital and the narrative structures, by developing new channels, new platforms, new devices and new experiences.

Nowadays, media and entertainment companies have to do more than react to current challenges – they have to trigger the operational change which will prepare them for the future of television.


With the occasion of the study Future of Television – Media & Entertainment, EY analysed thousands of hours of interviews conducted with executives and leaders from media and entertainment companies throughout the world, in order to identify the six emerging trends which will have a strong impact on traditional business models based on advertising incomes, subscriptions and pay-per-use content.
